Baby G’s Christening Cake

Last April 08, 2012, we welcomed my daughter to the Christian World. And of course, right after the ceremony at the Church we had a little “Salu-salo” in the house.

I want to share with you this cake given by my daughter’s Tita Girlie, and she brought it here in our place from Cagayan de Oro City (CDO is 5 hours away from our place). I am glad that she really take a hold of it and the designs were still in place when she arrived here.

We LOVE Goldilocks and the Chocolate Cake is so delicious.

Goldilocks is always our first choice when we need to buy cakes for different occasions. (I am not paid by Goldilocks to promote them, I just love their cakes so much that I am advertising them for FREE LOL).

Hamburger and Juice

Another snacks I had at Pearlmont Inn in Cagayan de Oro City is this hamburger paired with a sweetened juice.

I am a burger lover but I kind of didn’t like this burger at all. Maybe because I am used to eating my favorite burger at my fave dining place. This burger taste different but it didn’t taste bad though if you think that’s what I am saying. It just taste different.

Pearlmont Inn Pizza

I am a PIZZA-lover. Obviously, I love to eat and taste every new pizza parlor coming into town. Greenwich and Yellowcab are just few of my favorite hang-out Pizza Parlor in Cagayan de Oro City. I also love to dine out at Pizza Hut and Shakeys for their Pizza Flavors.

When we had our seminar at Pearlmont Inn last week I didn’t expect them to serve PIZZA because I haven’t seen their menu, but maybe they didn’t cook this pizza themselves, maybe they just ordered this from somewhere.

I didn’t like the pizza at all, compared to the Pizzas I already had tasted. The pizza dough doesn’t seem right, the toppings didn’t taste that good and the pizza sauce used doesn’t taste pizza at all. Sorry, I just didn’t like it.

Tita Fannie’s Product Presentation

I was invited yesterday for a Product Presentation at Tita Fannie’s, Corrales Branch for their Halo-halo sa Buko and Tender Fried Chicken. It was my first time to join a blogger event such as that one and I am glad I went to the event.

They introduced to us their new products and let us taste it before it goes out to the market this coming March 17, 2012, I believe. And after tasting the Tender Fried Chicken and Halo-Halo sa Buko they gave us papers where we can evaluate it if it passed our taste buds and if ever we would buy it again.

As for the TFC – Tender Fried Chicken, it was tasty and yummy and affordable for the price of 30php and yes I would love to buy it again and bring my friends along to taste it once it is served in their branch. The skin is crispy and the chicken tastes good, even the kid I brought along loves it.

The halo-halo sa buko is one unique halo-halo too. There were 13 ingredients if I can remember it correctly and though it is priced much higher than the halo-halo in my favorite store, I think its worth a try too.

Caviar, Anyone?

The first time I heard about Caviar was when I was watching my favorite movie, a James Bond movie. Caviar is one of James Bond’s favorite food and I didn’t know what it is back then.
Then I learned what is a beluga caviar when I was watching Discovery Channel only to realize that I couldn’t afford such luxury food. It is a food only offered in high class hotels and restaurants and the people who ordered favorite food are those who can afford the good life. Caviar are made from fish eggs and while I was watching Discovery Channel I realized why it was rare and why it is so expensive. I also learned how it was harvested from the fish and how not to kill them while harvesting the fish eggs.
But then again, we can afford it if we really want to try and taste it, right? It never hurts to save money for such luxury food. Beluga caviar can be ordered online nowadays and I believe there are affordable ones available on the internet. You don’t need to buy one kilogram because it will be costly, you can buy caviar in grams, and eat it like Russians or British do.
